Coaching runs

August 5, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
BUSY afternoon, like triple-booked:

- Ran with a college-aged kid, as a paid PT patient doing a "running visit". We ran from the clinic over to Skinner Butte, where we worked on climbing and fast descending. About 4 miles. Pretty hot, and STILL TIRED.

- Had a potluck at work at 5:30PM: tacos and tons of dessert on our balcony (covered) with all the employees and their families. It was Wednesday night music out in the courtyard, as well. Would've been fun if A.) we had beer (we did not - I should've brought some), and B.) I didn't have to meet Mike for a coaching visit - gait analysis.

- Met Mike at 6:30 at my apt. He's been feeling off with his running for a while, and having ITB and hamstring issues, so straight away I filmed him running: his stride is too long & low: big cues for the Salazar stride: knees up and suck the feet underneath. Looked way better. Then we did a touch of downhill running (another area he's lacking a bit), with major emphasis on fast feet!

We'll call it 4.5 miles, since he had to run right home after that.

WHEW! Whirlwind! Then, I had to hunker down and work on my iRF column! Yikes!

Not terribly busy, but...I can't add any more "stuff" to my schedule...something now has to give.
