Comments:
After writing a bit of whiny log yesterday, I decided I would take some measures to improve my situation:

1. Thorough foam rolling before bed.
2. Icing a sore left shin.
3. Sleeping until 10:00, despite missing the Photography museum (making sacrifices for the sport, am I right????????)
4. Wearing my Nike Lunarlons around for more support; both achilles have been aching from walking around all day in less than ideal shoes.

The run itself this morning was great. While a little slow warming up, at 20 minutes I started what I thought would be a 3x10 minute cruise with five-minute recoveries, but eventually talked myself into doing a forth. As for the pace, I made sure not to lull myself into some tempo-like state I could easily maintain. Instead each pickup had a sense of urgency and focus. They were crisp and while I'm pleased with today, it looks like I won't be getting in any doubles this week.
