AM to Dorris hill and back tempo

Since we went easy yesterday, CA and I decided to tempo on the way back from a Springfield run. Ran easy for a mile with her, then solo to the top of the hill before Dorris, then started the tempo.

The air sucked pretty bad, but we sucked it up (get it?). Felt the HR elevated and some breathing issues, but just went with the HR. Was only like 140-150 HR the first mile, then gradually up to 160 before leveling off. Went road the first mile, then all bark, then windy single track. Not very fast: went between 6:45 and 7 pace, which was "fine", given how low the HR was, initially, how winding the trail, and the shitty air. Felt pretty fine.
