Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
One of those days where I got caught up and my brain was whirling and I couldnt stop thinking about research. Got out on the run a little later than planned. Started with a loop around campus on the hard cement. Used that time to think about science and wrap all my ideas up so I can move forward. After I got up to the traffic circle, headed up to Sylvan and did a loop on the XC course. There, I stopped thinking about lab and just ran the soft trails, enjoying the weather. Nice transition. I started out really fast though, and finishing was tough when I got back out onto the road, went much slower back down to the parking lot. Even though I went late, near sunset, still felt pretty good. Stomach held up but I was pretty thirsty afterwards.
Essentials: Stretch
Threw in a few striders right before stretching. Nice to get some speed in there, that feels like it has been mostly absent. Stretch in the parking lot kinda sucked, as usual. Hammies tight now from that but rest of my legs feeling legit. Felt accomplished powering in the run today.
