Wildwood

September 3, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Campus run. Felt burnt out and brain dead in the afternoon, but found a pocket of inspiration right before I headed out to run. Because of that, didnt really switch off the research brain on my run. Made for a nice pace, just cruzing along lost in my head. Ran up to Wildwood, through the schools, across Chestnut and up around the campus loop back to the parking lot. It was hot and humid today! Drenched in sweat. Legs felt good. Rolled my ankle a little right at the beginning but pushed through it. Dorms are starting to open and a lot more is going on around town. I like it, because now I have things to write about in my log. Near the middle school, I saw this dude just bust out of the woods. He kinda startled me. Then he just started yelling "David!" really loud. I was confused, but then I figured he was looking for someone. I kept running and saw a guy walking towards the highschool. He had headphones in. I stopped him and asked him if he was David. I guess he was since he thanked me, turned around and started walking towards the dude from the woods. I also head the marching band practicing on Southwest.

Essentials: Stretch

Did 4 striders when I got back to bump the mileage up a little. Those felt great, mostly since I havnt done them in a while. Stretch wasnt that great. I dont like stretching in the parking lot. It started to rain as I was finishing up which was refreshing, but made me even more wet. Kinda nasty for the ride home. Ankle a little swollen and tender but no where near those big cranks from XC. I think its solidified as all scar tissue now. No tendons to damage any more.
