Grind Mile + 4x200 with CA

Weather: 65-70, dry, nice

Comments:
No AM run. Slept in, then did the pool...with a patient at noon, then spent the lunch hour working on my UWEC Presentation, which is taking forever!

After work, CA and I did our workout. The weather was glorious: cool 65-70 temps and dry. The air seemed clean, but I wasn't sure.

Jogged easy to SEHS track + Amazon, and did a grind mile. The HR seemed to jack pretty quick, so I kept things real easy to progressively warm-up:

6:30, 158 AHR

From there, an easy jog to the track, where we did 4x200. But first we watched each other run. We experimented with some stride width stuff. CA's stride looks WAY better than six months ago. Mine, too! NO swivz! But the footwork stuff is still a major work in progress.

We then each watched one another's first 200s. My first 200 sucked: didn't use my feet well and was too upright. Once I engaged the feet well, then trunk stayed forward well! It's funny how crucial that is:

strong feet -> better hip extension -> keeps trunk forward

SO HUGE.

So reps 2-4 were much better. Especially chasing after CA, who continues to get faster!

Felt like I was pressing a bit too hard, but otherwise felt good, I think.

Jogged home. Packed up for the home trip; didn't work on the presentation.
