"Tall & forward!"

September 10, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 80s? hot and smokey

Comments:
Had a good session with a patient (one of my CLR teammates) and it was an excellent reminder of *HOW HUGE* it is to be "tall and forward": to be that combination of:

- forward trunk engagement (and yeah, arched), but
- tall *THROUGH THE LEGS* - limiting knee "sinking" (e.g. "Elite Feet")

CA's told me like a million times the past 1-2 months that I'm "too upright", and this is why: I'm not that "Tall (in the legs) and Forward" as I need to be. This also explains why my top speed isn't that great, my lower legs are a little stiff (over-striding) and why I'm super-responsive to strong feet (--> thrusts me forward AND keeps the legs "long").

So...I ran at lunch, "tall & forward", with strong feet and pawback.

Felt off on the run: combination of residual allergy injection and smoke in the air. And some "taper fatigue".

PM: no exercise; just packed, finished my UR column and stretched while watching FNL.
