Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Some short mileage today, beginning to incorporate the gym back into workouts. I was actually on campus most of the day. In the late morning I went in to watch the UMass home meet. Always I good time, I really enjoy being out there in the field and actually watching some XC. Brought back great memories. They all looked like they were in such good shape and ready to race. It was cool. Amherst actually did pretty good, they almost beat everyone, but lost to UConn by just a little bit... They should be doin big things in DIII this season. Did some more work in the afternoon, then went from a run from the parking lot. Looped up up around Orchard Hill, then came back around to Campus and looped up the the gym. Clouds began to look real scary, but it never actually rained. Felt kinda slow and sluggish today, thought the racers would get me a little more pumped up, but Im just not there right now. In the gym got a nice little upper body work, just getting back into it slowly since I didnt do any of that over the summer. After the quick lift, ran back through campus to the parking lot. The rain still held out so this was the first time in the past few runs I didnt get drenched on my run.
Essentials: Stretch
Quick little stretch in the grass in the back up the employees lot. Legs actually felt ok just slowish. I was also still digesting some chips and salsa at the time so that might not have helped much. I guess afterall the XC race did get me pumped up, I am glad I got to go. Definitely feel like my training has taken a transformation as I get ready for the half.
Actually went a little further than 3 on the beginning loop but it wasnt much really.
