Trefoil Long Run

September 13, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Solid long run. Longest I have gone in a while. I was aiming for 10+ keep getting stronger. Played some Borderlands while Josh took a nap and then headed out with him. I did the first part with him, stopped off at the house then kept going. We just did a nice Triangle Fearing loop. Pace upbeat since we were pacing off each other. Nice and cool, today felt like the first day of nice cool fall weather. Was partially inconsistent since we had to stop at basically every stop light. Once I dropped him off, kept going down the hill to the bike path. Feeling decent still on that section legs holding up. Stomach was getting a little cramped up and I felt thristy at points. Went up the Rail Trail so some of the Amherst College Trails, eventually popping back out on the road and heading down to Fort River Elementary. Came back up Main Street, which didnt feel that hard even though it was the last major hill. Swung up High and came along Chestnut, then straight down through town back home. The last mile or so was down hill, so I could open up and let my legs go since they were feeling a little heavy. Still at that point, I felt pretty strong. Stomach was kinda crampy at times (it was from Wendys last night I am positive) Real solid finish, thats how you are supposed to finish your long runs. Super satisfied when I finished. Not sure how long it was I kinda just looped around a lot to add stuff on. After mapping, it looks just like a trefoil knot! I dont think I went in the right order to make it a true knot topologically though.

Essentials: Stretch, roll

It had started raining on the way back around the time I got to the middle school, so I was kinda wet again, but not soaked. I dried off then did a decent stretch and roll. Needless to say I just had that tired feeling, so I did sit around for a while. Everything is sore but feels good. I was pretty sore this morning too, I think from the lifting. Glad I pushed myself to go the whole way today. Also mad props to my boy Phil who ran a legit marathon today and qualified for Boston! Cant wait for next years race!
