Goal Pace - MLK

September 15, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
The perfect afternoon/evening for a run. Cool, sunny, it was fantastic.

Headed down to MLK for what I planned to be a tempo, but after my talk with Coach Chris Kelly on the way home, changed my mind. So, ran 5 miles at tad quicker than my goal pace for the marathon. The focus was on keeping a steady pace and seeing if this felt relaxed.

It felt relaxed overall (especially aerobically, legs were a bit tired), and my pace was even. Did not start too fast, kept it under control. All miles fell between 6:05 - 6:08 except the last which was 5:58. I intentionally sped up on that one.

Really happy with this workout and a great confidence booster. It was also a beautiful evening. Nothing better than a cruise down MLK on a beautiful fall evening.

Stretch, core, & one stride.
