Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Havnt run on a Friday in a while, but I wanted to make up for the short run in a while, and it was a long brainy week. Weather was pretty swell in the late afternoon. Felt pretty good for the first bit, Achilles actually felt pretty good, calf was a little knotted up but I eased into it and it felt pretty fluid. It was tough on the sidewalks but the path was really nice. There were a lot of people out in the woods actually. On the way back, legs started to feel real fatigued. I kept pushing the pace and kinda overcame that feeling where your legs want to just stop. Got the nice downhill home to coast in. Real pleased at how easy a "longer" run feels now. Good lookin out for the race.
Essentials: Stretch, stick roller
Stretch inside, legs just felt dead. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was on and I watched the end of it as I stretched. What classic cinema, how did that shit not win the Oscar when it came out?!?! Lower legs feeling a little better post run too. Its just adjustment to the upped training. Power through it while still being smart is the key.
