EASY Brice Creek to the Pool and back with CA

Weather: 80 ->60F, "wet"!

Easy day. Slept in 'til 930, "lazed around" til 10:30, breakfasted at 11...then spent the next several hours cleaning.

So...CA has basically lived with me since the end of June. The lack of AC and intense heat meant that she's spent the night at my place literally every night (other than those that she was out of town). We agreed that she should just move in. I like having her around, and it's worked out really well. The only thing that hasn't happened is she doesn't have much stuff at my place.

So...we cleaned out my kitchen, for starters: got rid of a ton of random crap I had, consolidated things, and moved in her kitchen stuff. Next step: the big space under my my stairs...then the closet. Our total rent will go down from $1070 to $535.

I'm a little nervous about it. I've literally never "lived' (like, semi-permanently) with a woman. But I know I love her, and I KNOW we're a good team. But it's going to be an ongoing adjustment...

We were unsure what we wanted to do for fitness, but then I realized that "this weekend isn't over 'til we jump into cold, fresh water". So at 4 we drove back out to Brice Creek.

We ran easy (CA MAF pace) to the pool, the big swimming hole on the creek), 2 miles out. It was hot when we left - like 80 - but two miles up the creek it was down to about 60F and the water was COLD! But it was fun.

After the initial "low jump", CA climbed up to the high side - a good 20' above the water and jumped in! Not to be outdone, I did the same...twice. It was a blast!

Easy jog back. AHR about 115 for 4 miles. Did x4 strides afterward, then drove back to the Grove for "Tot-chos" and a beer, then home.

GREAT WEEKEND. Seriously one of the best, ever.
