Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Getting used to running later after staying later at lab and putting in that work. I felt fine heading out the door when I got home. Started out slow, but by the time I got to the bike path, I felt like picking it up. Held it the rest of the way mostly. There were a lot of people outside at practice or walking and biking, so it felt like I was a part of something as I ran along, helped motivate me. Felt strong around the stadium, but went up Fearing pretty slow. Really tired to hold the effort level on the way back but legs were feeling awfully tired and heavy at that point. Good thing its downhill. Calves were ok, sleeved up today and it held it warm and in place. Quad was a little tight coming back. ITs also about as tight as they have been.
Essentials: Stretch, roll
Decent stretch and roll. Had laundry to switch out when I got back and I was hungry. Legs tired but its cause of the pace I think. Thats strong, got to be able to sustain something like that over a longer distance and time. I honestly just want to be consistent and finish negative split in my first half and first big race in a while. That would be easier in an old Case jersey :) Coach hook us alumni up!
A tad bit more than 5.5, which makes my pace a bit quicker. Yah!
