September 29, 2015 (Night)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Humid as fuck
Comments:
So for the past several weeks I've been taking a Dale Carnegie class in the evenings. I really think this is a great class and I'm learning a ton about how to better connect with people and be more outgoing (something I've never really felt I was any good at).
However since this class takes place from 5-8:30pm my running schedule has been, and will continue to be shifted during the weeks that I have the class. So similar to last summer when I was taking the EMT class I've gotten familiar with the night run.
Tonight was really humid, I spent most of the day in the car driving to see a customer and for at least half of the time it rained. By the evening it was no longer raining but the thickness of moisture in the air was palpable. In all honesty my shirt was more soaked after this run than my run yesterday.
Weather aside I felt better tonight than in awhile. Also let myself reminisce a bit in the later miles and picked it up some there. I try not to let myself think those thoughts very often, but every once in awhile I need a pump up and that usually does the trick.
Also I thought of titling this log "If the vans a'rockin' don't come a'knockin'" because tonight and on previous night runs on this route I've seen cars parked in this empty light with the windows fogged up. Its not really that secluded of a spot but still funny to think I may have stumbled on Florence's version of "Make out Point"
