Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Pre meet. It started raining hardcore this afternoon and was pretty wet when I headed out. I wanted to get home early and made it in just as it was starting to get dark. Ran a loop around campus, then over to the track and did 4 striders. Took a little bit for my legs to fully loosen up, calves and Achilles were tight. But it felt natural and strong. No one was out today. It was kinda warm and foggy from the moisture. On the striders, focused on being fluid, visualizing the finish. Felt so good I took my shirt off and ran home shirtless. It felt free. Also helped illuminate me to those passing by. Took it natural today, which was fast and slow all together. Looking to run smart and smooth tomorrow.
Essentials: Stretch, stick roll, roll
Had some confusion with my missing race care package when I got back. A bummer that put me in a bad mood, but shit happens. Got to move on and be ready. Feels good and exciting to train for something again. This time I trained alone, which feels weird coming from a true Spartan family. Still luck that running is always there. Time to race like a Beast!
