Comments:
Today was quiet but I got some good work in. Could definitely tell everyone was really celebrating "Columbus Day" to its full extent... Whatever that means. For the run, just shake out getting back into it. Did a little loop around Amherst College. Biked home so I was a little warmed up. It was warm out today actually, Indian Summer feeling. Starting out I felt really really sore, calves and quads, but I needed to run to get moving. Went slow and easy. It felt good to run again and I kept thinking about the race and the groove I was in, and how fun it was.
Essentials: Stretch, stick roller
Got back and got a good stretch and roll in. Thats definitely what I needed. Still feel kinda tight though. Probably keep running fairly regularly until I fully figure out marathon training or if there is another big race to train for. I think it will be important and a nice change of things to do some strength and core in the gym more.
