"easy" Dorris Ranch with Matt

October 18, 2015 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: high 60s, but felt really warm

Comments:
Slept in again, then ate breakfast, then did some internet-ing, then met Matt for a run from his house. I was pretty thrashed from the run yesterday, but it's time to "force some recovery".

Was STIFF and slow, but...we made our way, progressively, to Dorris. Conditions were perfect and HR was low for the bulk of it, but began to spike into the 140-150 range going up and over on the way back. Did x3 loops in the hazelnut tree groves.

Did 8:20s-30s on pretty rough trail and AHR 133, which is solid.

Told Matt about my form progression + checklist:

- feet (whole foot, pushoff)
- knees (lift, with "Salazar Stride" heel recovery)
- hips (pawback, pelvis open)
- trunk (forward, arched)
- arms (small, forward-and-back)

Felt pretty good today, but damn, I'm stiff from yesterday!

PM: grocery shopped, then helped a teeny bit with the Topper at KRW's place.

Wore the new N1 Triathlons...which are like an annoying version of the N2 roads...
