Hardesty Constitutional #2

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Weird, long day. Awoken at 0500 with texts from Max. He missed his flight. F. Spent about an hour trying to get him squared away. He got F'd, so that his arrival was bumped from 12:50p to MIDNIGHT.

The bright side to that was the opportunity to do a long run.

Worked on Kelly at his house at 7:30-8:30, doing a PT-for-massage exchange. Got his shoulder moving WAY better. Then worked 9-1:30, then drove to Hardesty. The goal was the same as last week:

- moderate up Hardesty (<160 average HR)
- easy-to-moderate Sawtooth
- easy descent to the road
- easy-to-moderate road to Goodman
- moderate Goodman

And that's about how it played out, except I felt MUCH stronger today.

Hardesty: 68:35 (156)
Sawtooth: 28:21 (146)
Lost Creek: 25:28 (139)

Goodman: 37:07 (159 - but high of 180!)
--- total: 3:00:05 (AHR 152)

HR was jacking on Goodman, although I felt REALLY good. Was just trying to run this climbs over the past two miles, which are simply tough that far into a run.

I thought I'd be a few mins faster this week, but it was not to be. It really makes me wonder how high my HR was when I used to grind this in the lower 2:50s (including a 2:48 in early April, 2013).

PM: back to the apt, to clean up and prep for Max to arrive. Beer and dinner with CA, who spent all afternoon working on the topper. We relaxed and watched some Friday Night Lights, then I went to get Haus at midnight! We were up til maybe 1AM chatting. REALLY good to have him here. It will be a great weekend!!!
