Only 400/ The call of the finish line

November 4, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Sun headed down, low 70's

Comments:
Beautiful day again today :) Ran lane 8's with Taylor. Took the 4th and 7th reps off because I wasn't feeling super great but the workout itself did not feel too bad which was good. I found myself getting back into a middle-distance frame of mind: 'Just a 400 to go, you can do this easy' which is a nice change from last year where a 150 or 200 could easily seem daunting. 2 mile loop through Little Italy- took the ladies' route down E 123. Did some drills before we got moving which probably helped. The pace definitely seemed pretty manageable though which was good. Target pace was 90 working down to 85. First one I took out a bit too quickly and then relaxed too much but after that things were right on target.

Splits: 92, 88, 89, (88), 88, 87, (86), 82

Nice workout, good run overall. Really enjoying the beautiful weather we have going for us right now :)

I felt kinda sore getting out of bed today but no injury-type soreness which is always good. Also I took my RHR a few days ago... it was 46, so I'm guessing the aerobic strength is just hiding under the surface a little bit. Good to be back in the saddle.
