PRE + Fairmout to SEHS: grind mile + 4x200

November 5, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 50s, mostly sunny

Comments:
Felt good today, but tired from the increased volume. Got up to 13x fairly quick, again, but was able to run reasonably swift across trail and hill to Fairmount, then to SEHS. There's more wood- and leaf-burn smoke in the air, so I think that jacks HR, because the HR went up QUICK on the bark path grind mile, but I made quick work.

From there, 4x200 at the track. I finally have accepted that the GPS watch has a HUGE delay on it, especially stopping...as if the data is streaming in SO fast (running like 4:0x mile pace) that it takes like a second for the beep to register! Because the only time I've come close to respectable 200s was in July...when I wore my normal Ironman watch!

Same story today. FElt really good - with emphasis on trunk forward + arch, strong feet, opening the hips, but still was slow:

Grind mile (HR):
6:07 (162)

4x200:

34.3, 34.5, 33.3, 34.4* (*slowed a bit because I thought I hadn't split my watch)

Jogged moderately fast back to the office.

Had some L top of the foot pain: stiff, lateral landing, yes, but overall, these PI tri shoes are stiff and crappy.
