Mind Over Matter

Gorham through Maple Bluff and Warner Park to Sherman to Gorham to the Shell-

I had the philosophy of the mind on mine all night last night and during the run today. Both mathematics and religion tell us that the mind cannot be a computer, yet it becomes confusing to see the difference sometimes. Indeed, that the mind is formal rather than material, though it is related to the brain, makes the most sense through the fire of questioning, but yet, when posed with essentially the same question 6 years ago when my failings led the unraveling of my running career, all the way up to now, logic and my feelings still have doubts about each other. I suspect some things will never change. In light of these doubts, I recall the words of my old high school swim coach, "Go with what you know and not how you feel". Indeed, mind over matter (or in addition to matter as a form).

On a distantly related note, I was significantly earlier today than I have been recently.
