CA's Spencer tease + Summit

November 17, 2015 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: light rain --> super-windy, rainy, foggy

Comments:
CA led from Martin St. SMALL hunt: only me, CA and KRW to start, then when we ran up headwaters to Fox Hollow, Lewis met us there. Ran Ridgeline west to the NE climber - old school constitutional - but did not summit! Instead, we ran down to the upper trailhead. I knew something was fishy, and sure enough, CA took us up the West Face!

By the time we'd reached the base the first time, the weather got way worse: windy, foggy, and pretty hard rain. But at least it wasn't cold. This kept up and intensified as we hiked the steep West side. Once on top, there was maybe 50' of visibility and 30-40 mph winds! KRW trying to put on his jacket was pretty challenging. We didn't dwell too long up there, tip-toeing down the new rock stairs (much appreciated) down the main route. From there, we backtracked back to Ridgeline, then west to the Owl trail + road.

GOOD run, but wow, it took a while! Nearly 2hrs!

Socia: ONLY four of us! Weird but good. :-)
