EASY PRE to SPFD

November 22, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: COLD but clear, 40

Comments:
Worked the EWEB Run to Stay Warm races today. Raced the half-m a year ago (which I ran too hard on too little fitness, blowing the wad for TNF, which majorly blew all remaining wads for Bandera), but working our medical tent this year.

Student Nathan met me at work at 0715 to load up the tent and tables, and we got to the start and were set up by 0745. Worked there 'til 1130: a lot of idle standing around, freezing, but a busy stretch of a good 20 people, I bet.

Had a pretty good time! Not horribly tired or sore, and didn't have too many "hard to handle" folks stop by, so it was good, all 'round. Was packed up, all the shit back to the clinc, and home just after noon.

By 12:30 I was out for a run. Wasn't looking forward to this run, previously in the week, but I was just "going by feel", and 8 miles felt pretty dang good. The watch has been fritzy the past couple days - so I wasn't sure I was running this slow - but the watch was reading high-8s and even 9 at first, but apparently I got 'em down to low 8's. But I didn't care: the focus was on recovery.

SLEPT WELL last night, which was key. That should mean I'm not overdoing it!

93 miles for the week. SOLID for GPS miles, that's for damn sure!
