Just a big 'ol run! (PRE to SPFD)

December 11, 2015 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 40s, rain, getting shitty!

Comments:
Busy, convoluted, but GOOD day.

I officially kiboshed the snowshoe trip today, so that opened things up to get some stuff done.

Worked 8a-1:30p - an hour early, to get in a runner friend of mine. Was at the clinic 'til noon, then hauled ass to south town to do a pool visit with a chronic pain patient, then back to work.

I'm suspicious that my ankle pain is joint, after all. It just seems STIFF and sensitive. So I was resolved to tape, but pre- and post-test mobility. Post-tape: HUGE difference! I ran a half-mile on the treamdill and it felt "night-and-day" different. So I hit the roads...

... ran > 8 miles. And the ONLY time I had ANY symptoms...was when I wasn't LETTING it move (e.g. toes up, toes down + push-off). So it as major focus on "flick and pull" a relaxed foot forward, then a push-off behind. Felt GOOD! Wore the Boston Boosts again with the higher heel DRAAHP to be sure I relaxed onto the heel.

Whew! Still holding the breath a bit, but a good revelation.

After that, I met Nick at EPT. I green-lighted him as my new coaching client, #4. I'll max out with him, for sure. I was apprehensive, but we was very interested (knowing me from treating him 1.5yr ago). I tried to scare him off by charging $300 a month (STILL like HALF was fucking Koop charges), and he still said yes! Alright, well, cool!

So now, I have four clients, bringing in $1000 a month! So going into 2016, this is my **monthly supplemental income**:

- $100 (quite low, but I get SO much "traffic" from writing there - and I may barter for gait analysis advertising on the site as a "raise")
- $250 Ultrarunning Mag (Krazy Karl gave us a major raise!)
- $250 Gait analysis (I average AT LEAST one per month. And I'm launching a new professional-ish website in January, where I expect that to grow)
- $1000 coaching~!
------
$1600!

Pretty fucking awesome! :-)
