December 26, 2015 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 30, clear
Comments:
Ran easy in the AM, doing my classic "ten mile" route from mom's: the outskirts north, then down Main St, then east on Division, up the backside of the Hoffman loop, then a triple-lap, and back.
Classic. The loop, despite a touch more snow, was even more runnable.
This was the first GPS reading on this run. 9.3. It could short it a bit, as the watch didn't pick up the full mile+ last week. So it's probably 9.5. Not terrible to have called this ten. :-)
My foot has been increasingly sore since mid-week, but didn't bother me much on the run. I think I wore the small adidas boosts.
Post-run: cleaned up, and drove an hour into the Twin Cities to go to Twin Cities Running Co -- a cool trail-friendly running store owned by Kurt Decker, who's a big trail promoter in MN. I did a free gait and injury analysis at his store for :90, which was fun, and got a pair of at-cost new adidas trail shoes in return! Had a blast...and it was a good way to make this home trip a tax deduction!!
Then drove home.
