Easy along the river

January 20, 2016 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: gray, a little breezy

Comments:
Foot was a little sore in the AM, but not bad.

BUSY lunch:

11:45 lifted weights. 3 sets of:
- single leg glutes (splits squats, power step ups)
- squat (95lb x10)
- push-ups
- abs
- lat pull downs

Then, hustled home and to Kelly's for a massage. I wanted to cancel this one, but I'm glad I didn't: he worked out what I hope to be "the last" of the soreness and stiffness. Best it's felt yet

- From there, I drove a mile down the road and parked near the river path, and ran easy out-and-back.

MAJOR focus on:

- WHOLE foot (inside of both feet, WAY harder on the right)
- feet (R) straight back
- trunk R (no tape today)

Felt sluggish, but mostly from the weights!

PM: T&G to work on a gait report.

Of note: There's been a "discussion" with Meghan Hicks of iRunFar on my writing with UR: she's (overly) concerned about overlap with my writing for UR (the stride column) versus my historical iRF work.

It's annoying. They're totally different audiences and platforms (short words, print vs 10,000 word in depth pieces), even if I had overlap in content about sports med and science! Ugh.
