Exercise Type: Run
Weather: rainy, 1000% humidity
Comments:
Ran with CA today. I had a pool visit, so I just drove home and we ran from there: down Pearl to SEHS and Amazon.
Did some drills and strides, then ran clockwise, so I could "lean right" into the turns.
I simply followed behind CA and had her set the pace. We were running pretty fast, but I didn't look at splits...or HR that much, but the latter was HIGH! After a lap around the sloppy, puddled loop, she said, "My HR is too high".
I replied, "Well, just do what you feel like".
After the fact, she thought I'd said, "Push your self a bit", or something, because if anything, we sped up! I was legitimately WORKING in the final mile.
Splits:
6:17, 6:20, 6:17!
Slow, but very sloppy: soft bark and standing water puddles, so it was legit work.
I was working hard on:
- trunk R
- whole foot
- feet (R) straight back
LEFT foot didn't feel too bad, but got sore over the last mile. It was more sore in the afternoon than I'd like.
PM: "13-month anniversary". Neither of us wanted to run ten miles (grinding), so we skipped the hunt and went for an anniversary dinner (missed the year one, in Northern MN) at Planktown Brewing in Springfield. Service was slow but the food and beer were great. Had a good time!
