Amazon from Tamarack

February 3, 2016 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
I had a pool visit today, so after that...I decided to run. With the upcoming column on "tissue tolerance" fresh in mind, it occurred to me that I need to do SOME running: a slight (annoying) amount, but not too much.

The facts:

- I did not partially tear the plantar
- It's not that sore (to palpation, massage)
- I've been taping it the past couple days, which has helped
- It's been >5 weeks since I've RESTED (except for the backslide of two weeks ago)
- It's been fully rested for over a week
- Too little can cause pain

Given that, I went for a run.

Ran easyish to Amazon, did a lap, then back. I misjudged distance - hoping only for 2 - but I wound up with three miles. Ran in orthotics but the tape fell off in the pool. No discernable symptoms during the run.

PM: slightly sore in the afternoon. I retaped it once I got back, which helped. No PM ice cup.

THIS WEEK: CA reminded me that maybe I should be doing some hard ice-cup massaging. I did so a couple nights (it was REALLY sore at first, and recently, not so bad), but I'm not going to do it, every day.

No "Randy" tonight, just some studying. Had some nice openings during my afternoon and got the iRF column done a week ahead of time.
