Campus + SEHS barefoot

March 5, 2016 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: almost 60, mist to legit rain

Comments:
Up somewhat early this AM. Gut was churning from the hot thai food last night! UGH. THREE deuces, then we went to yoga. Deuced AGAIN there before class, but I felt better after that. Once we got home, CA went to work on her topper (getting done?) while I studied.

Pretty good day: studied TMJ in the AM, got some other work done, then went to Allan Bros and did two quizzes (TMJ, and a "bonus quiz" of 42 questions). By the time I was done, I felt FRIED. Dunno, part of it was the zyrtek I took last night, but maybe just stress?

Got home around 5ish, and ran with CA. Foot was fine all day, albeit a little sore in the RIGHT foot. Ran very easy along the river, straight to campus, up Agate, then over to Fairmount.

Callie was asking like a million questions on running mechanics, and I got a little pissy and frustrated, and said, "You need to stop, and just focus" - on what she's doing now, not a million new things! I felt bad after that, but it's the truth. We BOTH just need to be consistent!!

Ran up and over to 24th, then down to SEHS to the turf field. After another(!) deuce stop, we ran about a mile barefoot! Felt GREAT. Did about 6-8 strides.

BIG form focus on:

- right foot in and pushing straight back
- pelvis left
- SCAPULAR POWER! Namely, the right one forward and left, back, with right leg push-off

Felt REALLY good today, like the stride truly is as efficient as it's ever been: it's true potential! It was also fun to run with Callie in the drizzle at sundown.

Ran back to the apt, then cleaned up. I ran for groceries and cooked while she finished her grad school assignments. GOOD DAY.

Big 100-question "final practice test" tomorrow!
