Rough one

Drove to the track after work and church. Was planning to do reps of 200@30 followed by 100m all-out but it was rougher than I thought it would be and I only wound up doing 2. Jogged a mile warmup, then did some drills (heel, toe walk, bounds, high knee, butt kick, a skip, side jacks, high swing walks and skips with and without pause) followed by a quick accel just to make sure spikes felt alright. Achilles had felt tight prior to drilling but after it was fine so I went ahead with the workout. Hit 30.hi on the first one, didn't actually catch the second but at least that slow. Wound up under 45 through 300m on both of them but it was more painful than I anticipated so I only did 2. Jogged 200m in between, plus half a mile cooldown. Joined Alley and some of his friends for like 45 minutes of pickup soccer and world cup which was actually mad fun, even though I'm terrible at soccer and didn't have any cleats.

Times through 300 were 44.69 and 44.72 which were surprisingly close, given that I got out much more slowly on the second. I should be able to hit these in 43.x or better by the end of next month. Nothing to it but to do it.
