Race Time! There's nothing like running an 8K in the heat of a saturday morning to make you feel alive. 2 mile warm-up with stretching at 1 mile. Stretch some more and hydrate. Spike up! Active stretching, run-outs, team cheer, and we're off! Went out with 5:50 first mile, felt great, but went through the 2 mile with the group at 12:30 and the 3 mile at 19:40. Still felt pretty good but was falling off as the group picked up the pace. Found some Notre Dame guy and worked off of him through the finish. Didn't catch the 4 mile split but did the last 2 miles in 12:00 to finish at 31:40. Way better than I did last year. I'm gonna take it! PR! 2 mile cool-down with Ethan and some other guys. Then went to the cookout for some food. Went home and took a fantastic nap. It was a good race day.
