Long Hills

I woke up this morning feeling a little a little cold coming on, but it was extrordinarily mild, so I totally ignored it. My knees, ankles, feet, achilles, and any other of the various annoying ailments I've had recently were gone today.

I started off today's workout in a pretty good place, in thirdish for the first three of the 11 long hills. Half our pack stopped for water before number four, so I took it and took it rather hard. I increasingly struggled and faded to the back of the pack on numbers 5-10. My legs felt awful and I was wondering if I was headed for dropping out of the front pack entirely. Then, something weird happened on the last one and I finished real hard. My legs suddenly felt a whole lot better, which is at least somewhat psychological, but the difference was very dramatic. I sort of feel like an @$$hole for "sitting and kicking". This is turning into a bad habit with benefits.

Overall, this was probably my worst workout with the team this season thus far.
