ICELAND!!!!!! (And Gettysburg and Dickinson)

June 27, 2016 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Iceland beat England 2-1!!!!! I literally got so excited I knew they could do it. Ahhhh I'm so proud idk why I don't know anyone in Iceland. But that doesn't matter because they're moving up in Euros. Go Iceland!
Anyway, I woke up at 6:30 and I was still tired but I decided that I might as well run in the morning rather than when I got back from college tours. I wasn't sure if there would be any hills before I got to Middletown, but luckily the whole area was pretty much covered in small hills. I went up a few that were between the grade of Giles and Remington. I actually found one substantial hill, but I went down it. My splits were really consistent, all of them were 7:54.7 except for the second one which was 8:04.
I left for Dickinson College not long after my run. The information session was really boring. They promised to explain why Dickinson was an unusual liberal arts college but I never heard anything I haven't already heard before at other colleges. The tour was much better. By the end of the tour I liked Dickinson more than I thought I would.

I loved Gettysburg, I'm definitely going back when there are students because the community seemed like a really important aspect from what I learned on the tour and info session. There were about 15 people at the info session. Six tour guides walked in after and we got to chose our guide after they introduced themselves. I wanted this guy who does long and triple jump on the track team to be my tour guide but the woman who led the info session pulled an English major over to me before I could ask. She is a rising sophomore and is really nice, but she just didn't know as much about the science department or athletics compared to what she told me about the English department. They also have unlimited meals as part of their meal plan.
Tomorrow I'm going to Bucknell University on my way back to Ithaca.
