no workout - easy, barefoot, then 4x200 at SEHS

August 11, 2016 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: fairly warm and mid-morning humid

Comments:
Saw one patient this AM, then was free. Slept like ASS last night and middle-of-the-night developed a splitting headache, which is unusual. Felt like ASS in the AM, as did CA. When we convened at my office in the AM, we both realized we might've gotten something food borne, so about a mile into our warm-up jog, we aborted our workout plans and just ran easy.

Ran to UO, where I did a good 2+ miles (2.5) barefoot. LOVE the barefoot running. It's the only place where I can consistently run in the low 7s and still be easy-aerobic. Ran 7:0x for a bit, then CA came back from her add-on, and we ran back to South.

Did 4x200 there after some drills. Ran clockwise again, with a light tailwind. Felt pretty good. I like the 200s, because it allows we to work on little things, and I feel like I speed up because, during each one, I touch-up on another element:

- tall & forward
- pelvis left, right knee out
- strong feet

Splits were SOLID: 31.6, 31.3, 31.3, 30.0

They're suunto splits so they can be pretty inaccurate, but a solid run.

Post-run
- packed up and headed north
- I sat outside a coffee shop in Amity, OR, while CA did an inspection
- drove to PDX to hang out: awesome food and beer in the SE Stark area!

Can't believe I'm still getting good miles out of my adizeros! Great shoe!
