June 28, 2016 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: mid 80s, pretty warm
Comments:
Drove out past Camp Sherman for this more bonafide "east side" (= dry, not many trees!) run. Ran the dusty trail, up this ridgeline out and back, then stopped at a defacto viewpoint of Jefferson, 3-Fingered and Washington while Monty - a FS researcher and friend of the camp - gave the kids a talk on Central Oregon geology and habitat. Pretty cool!
Had a fun, FAST descent with some of the faster, older boys, on the way back to the vans! Talked about Western States :-)
