Comments:
Up early for an action packed day in Tokyo. Started with walking through Aoyama, the rich part of town, to meet with Ollivilles friend Minna. It was cool finally get to see the city, see how people behave and live there. Then we walked through Harajuku, which is a crazy shopping district. It got nuts on this one busy street. Then people really started coming out it was so crowded. We popped out on the other side of Yoyogi park and then went to the Meiji Jingu Shrine, a very famous shrine in Tokyo, nice to get into the forest a little bit, but it was still so busy. We wandered into the park for a little picnic and to play some Finnish Lawn bowling, which is really tough but I got the hang of it eventually. We were getting hungry so we walked down to Shibuya after that. I finally got to see the Shibuya Scramble, it wasnt as crowded as it could be but it was still really cool, now I can say I have been there every time I watch Tokyo Drift. We had some time to kill so we got some coffee back in Aoyama before the baseball game. As we got near the stadium, it started to get real crazy noticed a lot of fans, then a few blocks away it became so crowded with fans. It was just a mob scene. Without Minna we wouldnt have been able to find the tickets and the gate. No one spoke any English there we were just on our own. Luckily we got in and to our seat early enough. The atmosphere was awesome, unlike anything you would find at an American baseball game. The thing was sold out to, completely. We were in a sea of Giants fans. We quickly had to catch onto their cheer and chants. They accepted us into the cult and I was cheering so hard. It was really really cool, what I was expecting and a whole lot more. Also a pretty good game on a nice summer evening, something I always love but dont get enough of these days. And we won! And Garretto was MVP! After the game we made it out of the mob and chilled a little bit before grabbing some quick dinner and walking all the way back to Roppongi. What a walk today we went all over the place, so pooped by the time we got back to the apartment. But action packed, and crazy to thing that is just a sliver of what Tokyo has to offer. We only went to like 3 districts out of over 20! This city is beyond huge its a mega city. And its so cool.
