White Mountains

September 16, 2016 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Walk

Comments:
Today we decided to head up to the White Mountains to go hiking. It was a haul (2 hr drive). We stopped at LL Bean on the way up, then found 2 really good hikes in the woods, one to the top of a Mountain and another to some waterfalls. Lots of mileage on the trails (around 7 and extra FitBit steps). It was nice to get moving around, and the woods were so awesome. Weather was picture perfect, you can start to smell the onset of the crisp fall air. There was a Ragnar relay race going on too in Crawford Notch, which was kinda cool. It was hectic but seemed organized. Those runners were doin serious work. Reminded me of training. We stopped for dinner in Conway since we were really hungry from all the hiking. Then we had a long drive back in the dark on twisty windy roads. It was tough but I am glad we got back. Had reminiscent conversations to keep us company. Legs and feet not too sore actually from all the hiking. They feel good.
