This morning I drew a smiley face on my hand using a permanganate solution. Mr.Touri said that it wouldn't come off until the skin died, so I though I would be able to look at it during the workout but I probably didn't put enough on because it was gone by 8th period. I was nervous for the workout because last year I was dead on the second set and didn't think I could finish the whole thing. This year it ended up being really easy for me, which was kinda weird because I wasn't expecting that. I never felt out of breath or tired or anything, I actually felt better after the workout than before. I was supposed to do the workout with Ingrid, and I tried to stay with her for the first couple sets, but it felt too slow. I picked it up a bit during the second half of the workout but I think I was confused about how fast I should've been going. I knew I wasn't supposed to be with Grace and Zoe, but staying with Ingrid felt slower than my tempo pace. I think I run so well in flat and open areas like cass park that it's just not right to compare it to courses like Manhattan that are crowded and hilly with many turns. Add that to the fact that these types of workouts (long, endurance-based) are one of my strengths and the result is me running around thinking, "this is fun!" and, "did I just step on that mouse?". I really did think the workout was fun; I wanted to do 7 or 8 sets. Before we started, I thought that it would take more than one workout to get used to doing them on my own, but I actually liked being alone. It was a lot less stressful and I could do whatever I thought was necessary without having to worry about anyone else.
