TRAN's Trapezoids x6 with CA

October 18, 2016 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: on/off rain, max-humid, not too cold

Comments:
Ran with CA, leaving from the office, after her student teaching.

Felt pretty average today, going in, so I went by feel again. Form focus:

- Tall & forward
- arms back
- mid-back arch (hardest of them all)

For the first one, I did a good job of really driving my hips upward, and the split was fast! On the second, I focused instead on the foot-push...and it was much slower. Not sure if I lost hips, lean, or what, but after that, I stuck to the hip cue, and overall "Tall" and quick-footedness.

It was pretty tough - and perhaps a bit asthmatic from the high-humidity. There was a break in the rain and when the sun came out, it actually got "hot" (like last week's track).

Short-strides felt good, but the downhill was muddy and slow, but good practice. Splits:

69.3 (48.4)
72.6 (48.9)
70.0 (52.8)
69.1 (50.3)
69.0 (52.5)
69.7 (50.4)
(avg "69.95"!)

This is my fastest-ever average, just a bit faster than the x8 I did, pre-Superior (which included 3 that were just under 69.0). Solid.

After that...? Ran straight to Oakway to lift! At first it was pure dread, but once we got there, the lift was solid.

CA is teaching me to hang clean, and that is getting less awkward. Also did split squats and some abs and light hops (no big jumps).

Then we had to run back to the office, which included a short bout of pouring-ass rain and hail! Crazy amount of rain!!
