First snowy run!

I went on a 6 mile run today because I have to get up early on Wednesday to drive down to where my cousins live in Maryland. I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to run at all on Wednesday so I'll probably use it as my off day. Running in the snow was so much fun. I started out slightly faster than I usually do because I was cold, and then I didn't really slow down. Running on the dirt road near the arboretum and vet school was really cool because I felt like I was in the middle of a tundra. When I tried to run through the field to get to the arboretum, I stepped off of the road into what looked like an innocent patch of snow, but then I sank almost up to my knees. After that I just ran on Dryden road until I reached Game Farm rd. I went back to my house on the rec trail which is where I usually run. The sumac tree that used to stand next to the little trail that leads to my street got knocked down last night.
