Cass Park Tempo

I didn't really want to run any more than 20 minutes today, but then I decided to just go with whatever was planned. We did a 20 minute warmup and then an easy 20 minute tempo with the option of slowing down twice for 1-2 minutes. I was tired by the end of the warmup so there was really no way to make the tempo easy. Normally I would've stuck with Grace and Zoe, but they went with Lizzy when we started the tempo. I decided it would be smart to stay back with Ingrid and Nisha because Lizzy said she would probably go at a 7 minute pace without stopping and I didn't want to go below a 7:30 pace. I ran with Ingrid and Nisha for the first 10, then we jogged, and I started up again a bit before them. I was planning on doing 10-5-5 for the tempo, but during the second part I stopped after about 3 minutes for no apparent reason. I kept a consistent 7:30 pace for the whole tempo, except I slowed down to a 7:40 pace at the end. After I finished the tempo, my quad felt really weird. I didn't really know what was wrong with it because I've never tweaked a muscle or gotten injured before, so I only did upper body lifting when we went in the weightroom just to stay safe. I think I want to do my own thing for the rest of the week and next week, because I don't really like how quickly we're getting into the season.
