Easy "Enterprise Dr" run - Eveleth

December 21, 2016 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 15-20F, snowing

Comments:
Slept in pretty good, and got out for the run around 0830, ahead of my uncle, who was gonna walk the dogs on the same road: Enterprise Dr, which is an old mining dirt road that runs south of Gilbert.

Ran EASY (and slow) the first couple miles along the road-highway. Felt stiff, but came around. It was snowing pretty hard and even my brimmed hat didn't shield it all. Thankfully it wasn't too cold.

Ran down to Enterprise, passed him and the dogs, and ran all the way to the end, just east of Gilbert. Ran to the entrance of the OHV park and managed to find an indoor bathroom to deuce, then ran around a bit out there, then back. Footing was so-so but not terrible, making my 7:30s pretty quick.

Felt good, but...not spirited. These are the runs that make it tough to force mileage, but oh well. Time to add.

Rest of the day:
- wrote some xmas cards
- met Matt for lunch in Virginia (GREAT place) and great chat with him
- errands to Italian Bakery, Target, then to Gilbert for meats (Kosher meats), then to the bank, where I hadn't been for YEARS. Cool that he's the third generation president (after his grandpa and his mom)
- back to the house for more work and hanging out with my uncle
- to John's new house

Good day
