Great day for running. Course was a bit soft, and still felt sore. Went out on a scheduled slow first mile with Isiah (5:31) and couldn't keep the pace until the end, where I started the beginnings of my kick about 800 meters out. Still, kick was the best of the year. I passed 4 or 5 guys in the last kilometer, but I shouldn't have had that much strength at the end. Took it way too easy. I need to go out faster. Time was 17:56.1, which is 0.8 seconds off PR. Finished a few seconds behind Isiah. After race, our group ran about 4.5 miles. Not very happy with time, but I will do much better at county and train hard this week. Still, had a great day at Culver. Jumped in Lake Maxicuckee afterwards with team and had a blast.
