Tybee Island Southside

December 31, 2016 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Did a little bit of exploring around some old forts and cemetery today but in the afternoon we had some time on the island. Biked around then came back and went out for a run at low tide. The beach was huge, and down on the south end it stretched out really far. I ran down the beach under the pier which was beginning to be roped off for the fireworks. Then I took the beach all the way put to as far as u could go. Got way out there. On the way out got a glimpse of some dolphins swimming up the river. Really cool didn't expect to see them at all so that was a pleasant surprise. The beach was rough out there with ripples and big duvets I got to jump over. It was pretty cool. Again, super relaxing out there surrounded by the water. It was a view for a postcard or computer background. No photo would do it justice. On the way back just took the streets. Got into a solid clip there feeling pretty good.

Essentials: Stretch

Stretch on the driveway when I got back. Legs feeling pretty good and the sustained consecutive runs are helping me feel in rhythm. What an end to a weird year. I wonder what we will remember it as. I found that you can work hard on your goals and achieve them and it can be fun and rewarding. A direct relation to running. Sure I wish I could have run more and I should have run more. But that's good because the only way is up and to work hard.
