In the morning, we went over to the Skytree, which apparently is the second tallest structure in the world (only to Burj Khalifa) and you can go up it to see the city. We had to wait in line for a while but finally got on the elevator up to the observation deck. Up there, get to see the entire metropolis from a different view. Its not even a city, its a conglomerate of city. Urban sprawl as far as the eye can see. It was amazing and breathtaking. Got some good pictures up there too. Skytree is off to the edge of most of the stuff in Tokyo, so it took a while to get out there. We came back and then regrouped before heading to Shinjuku for the rest of the day. Shinjuku is the typical neighbor that comes to mind in Tokyo. Bright lights, narrow streets, crowded shops. We wandered around just killing time at 7/11, an arcade. Later at night it started to rain. I didnt really realize it but a typhoon was approaching Tokyo Bay, and it it us head on when we were out there. It was crazy rain, and with all the lights in the buildings it looked awesome. It was wet but glad I got to see it. I had to protect myself with my map since I didnt have an umbrella. We made it back to the Airbnb without getting too wet. I spent the rest of the evening watching people get blown over in the rain.
