Long ladder track workout

Felt ROUGH this morning. No appetite, tons of gut rot. Didn't feel feverish...just like food poisoning, I guess.

Still met the guys for the workout, but since it was rather cold and a little breezy (AND because I felt totally flat) we decided we'd shake it up with a long ladder workout: 6-5-4-3-2-1 laps, with a lap jog in-between.

Good group today: me, Lewis, and his friend (and one of the local master's guys, "Leo"), along with Tommy and Evan. Leo is relatively fast, so he was up front with me and Lewis.

I felt so assy that I didn't know what I could do, or for how long. So we basically went at or just under 6:00 pace for that first mile (piss slow for the track), but it was plenty good. And from there...we just gradually cut down!

I led the first rep. Then Leo took over and pushed a bit on the 5-lapper. On the 4-lap, he pushed, but I wound up reeling him in near the end. From there, it got easier, until we got to the final lap. when it was simply time to go hard.

All-in-all, a really good workout. Splits:

Rest of the day: felt pretty OK...ate a little. Then we had tacos for dinner...and by like 9PM I felt fucking TERRIBLE. Rest of the night: midnight, on: deucing BAD like every 90 minutes, until it was PURE water. Something's not right...
