Grind mile, 12x300

March 2, 2017 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: decent

Comments:
Great workout today! Me, Evan and Tommy started out with a grind mile on the bark (which was de-slopped and fairly runnable), then headed back to the track for repeat 300s, ala how we did them in the ice, back in early December.

After our first one, CB and Lewis showed up and hopped in. From there, on, we had a real nice mix.

We ran them yo-yo style: clockwise on the odds, counterclockwise evens. On the odds, the fast guys (Lewis and I) led; on the evens, the slower guys got a head start and we ran them down. As such, most of my even reps were faster (though I'm not sure if it was because of CCW running).

They didn't feel as strong as I was hoping they would: it felt like I was doing 50-52 effort, but running 51-54s. But I generally felt pretty efficient and strong.

GOOD workout. Really fun. The reeling-in and weaving made it interesting and lively. Good workout, good group of guys, out there pushing it!

Easy cool-down...then to the gym for a quick (and hard) lift.
