Damn you, Big G

March 11, 2017 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: ~25 degrees, Cold

Comments:
Long run day! This time, ran to Princeton. Last time I did this, it was like 60 degrees hotter. Little peeved about the cold though. The combination of snow and frozen terrain meant that trying to run through the farms in my Sayonaras would have been treacherous at best. So even though I want to be sure they can hold up for race day, I had to do with my Caldorados.
Run itself was real nice, slow as hell first half because of the snow and wind. I did feel way better once I got into tree cover past the farms. Oh, another complaint, below zero temps meant that all of the water fountains that I had planned to hit along the way so I could start training with Honey Stingers were shut off. Which was a pain. The clincher was around 10.4 miles in, I bumped my watch, and it reset itself. So my time to that point went bye-bye. The situation was not improved afterwards, since I was listening to Gilad's 2015 camp playlist. And that one Luke Bryan song came on. Salt in the wound man. I am not a country music kind of dude.
Did manage to restart my watch for the last 3.6, with a time of 27:52. Slow as expected, but I'll try again next week.
