easy with the kids - 30 minutes

March 14, 2017 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: warm, 60F, tiny sprinkling

Comments:
Felt like ASS today. Slept terribly last night, worse than the night before. The culprit: peanut butter. I think I'm allergic (to at least this brand), as I woke up in a pool of sweat, two nights ago, and itching, both nights. UGH.

REALLY tough to get going today. The routine:

- dragged my ass to Allan Bros for work and Coffee #1
- met LLM for a post-Napa coaching meet and Coffee #2 (half-caf) at Hideway (also Cookie #2)
- went to Riverbend hospital to see Alie, who's having chemotherapy for Lymphoma. I'm relieved that she's doing "OK". Still really sucks. She's one of my all-time favorite people, and she's "young" (33?)
- went to Vero (Coffee #3, decaf) to work

Then went home to prep for coaching. Hoping to have a fun day to get me going...

Practice. BUSY:

- team warm-up (takes too long)
- strength, led by CA
- Chat. We had a reading from Season of Life. AMAZINGLY, John (who had the melt-down yesterday) KNEW the biblical derivation of "Talents", so I had HIM read the first passage. The point: we all have talents, and all we ask is you bring whatever you have, in general, or that particular day. For John, he needs to "not bury his", like he did yesterday. I think it went over really well.
- Talked some pre-meet
- Voted and announced captains (Hunter, Sam!)
- Easy run, talked more meet strategy
- back for "stride handoffs)

BUSY but GOOD day!
