OFF - 4-5x800 kidz

Weather: on and off drizze, but not terrible, once again

Comments:
OFF today. Simply didn't do anything, til yoga after practice. Saw three clients and did a lot of coaching.

Track was...weird today. The first "bleh day":

- Right away John comes up saying he has to leave the meet early, thus blowing up our perfectly balanced 2x 4x4s for Wednesday.
- Maddy said her shins were hurting her (and I nearly pulled her, but she stuck it out)
- Sam's ankle was suddenly so bad that I DID have to pull her. It was weird. She didn't say anything but she had this *look* of like nauseating dread, and I knew something was up. I spent a big chunk of time trying to work on it, while monitoring the workout
- the kids, the GIRLS in particular, were STRUGGLING. I almost literally said to Jonathan, WTF? Why? Running like 3:10 800s? Then I realized (I think): they NEVER did intervals in track with their old coach. SERZ.
- Jaesa was like going down on all 4s in the infield. SERZ?

On the plus side:
- everyone else finished, including John. He did his usual thing, but held in for two good 8s, then two crappy ones, but no blow-up
- Hunter and Callan killed did: they did FIVE, all under 2:40.
- Kyler looked fantastic (but was a bit slower, usually 2:4x to 2:5x)
- Maddy was consistent all day (3:0x; although I wanted faster).

They're fit and strong, but geez, they simply don't ever do pace-specificity, I guess!

Got done in time to go to yoga. OK class, but not amazing. Glad that I wasn't too stiff, or balance too shitty --> my stride is likely pretty solid.

Home, sitting around, eating stuff, 'til CA got home from a work trip, late.
